Solvero Wines 2026 Vintage Update: Our Summerland Harvest and What’s Ahead

Solvero Wines Fall Update 2026

The 2026 harvest in British Columbia has been a challenging one for Solvero Wines. Following the Bald Range wildfire near our Summerland vineyards, we have made the difficult decision not to produce estate wines from our Summerland-grown grapes this year.

While our winery, vineyards, and facilities remain intact, the proximity of the wildfire to our estate vineyards has led us to take a different approach to the 2026 vintage.

Here’s what that means for Solvero, the wines we’ll be producing, and what you can expect in 2027.

Why Solvero Will Not Produce Estate Wines in 2026

The Bald Range wildfire had a significant impact on our Summerland community and local agriculture.

After extensive evaluation of the conditions surrounding our vineyards, we determined that foregoing our 2026 estate vintage was the right decision.

At Solvero, integrity in viticulture and winemaking guides the choices we make, from the vineyard to the bottle. Protecting the quality of our wines remains our priority, even when that means choosing not to produce a vintage from our own fruit.

As a result, Solvero will not produce estate wines from Summerland-grown grapes in 2026. However, this does not mean we will stop making wine this year.

A New Chapter: Limited-Production Wines from British Columbia’s Fraser Valley

For the 2026 vintage, Solvero will partner with a carefully selected winegrower in the Fraser Valley, British Columbia, to produce a small collection of limited-production wines.

While these wines will come from a different growing region, our approach to winemaking remains the same. Each selection will reflect our commitment to quality and thoughtful winemaking.

This partnership allows us to continue producing wines in 2026 while maintaining the standards that guide our work at Solvero.

What Solvero Wines Will Be Available in 2027?

Despite the changes to our 2026 harvest, there will continue to be Solvero wines to enjoy in 2027.

Our current releases remain available, and several anticipated wines from the 2025 vintage will be released throughout 2027.

Our limited-production 2026 Fraser Valley wines will also represent a new chapter in Solvero’s story, shaped by the challenges and decisions of this growing season.

While we won’t have a 2026 Summerland estate vintage, our focus remains on producing wines that reflect the care and consideration behind every Solvero release.

Understanding Wildfire Exposure Through

Vineyard Research and Microfermentations

The 2026 growing season has also presented an opportunity to deepen our understanding of how wildfire exposure can affect grapes and winemaking.

Throughout the season, we have conducted a series of microfermentations representing each of our vineyard sites and grape varieties.

These small-scale winemaking trials, combined with extensive laboratory analysis and sensory evaluation, will help us better understand the impacts of wildfire exposure and explore potential management strategies for the future.

By studying the results across our vineyard sites and varieties, we aim to make more informed decisions about how we manage similar challenges in the years ahead.

This process reflects an important part of our philosophy: understanding the conditions of our vineyards, and making decisions based on careful observation and evaluation.

Looking Ahead: Our Commitment to

Summerland and Solvero Wines

The 2026 harvest has been different from what we anticipated, but our commitment to thoughtful farming and the quality of every bottle we release remains unchanged.

We are deeply grateful for the support of our customers, wine club members, neighbours, and the firefighters, emergency personnel, and volunteers who helped protect our Summerland community this summer.

This season has challenged us to adapt, but it has also allowed us to learn more about our vineyards and prepare for the future.

Thank you for your continued trust and for being part of the Solvero journey.
