Meet The Kozuki Vineyard
Rooted in Integrity:
Meet Winegrower David Kozuki
At Solvero, we pride ourselves on the Estate fruit that we farm with care in Garnet Valley and Happy Valley. These two vineyards are located in the Summerland Valleys and Summerland Bench Sub-GI, respectively. When we were looking to add the Summerland Lakefront region, it should come as no surprise that we were careful to create a partnership borne out of the same passion and commitment to the land that we champion. We are proud to be working with David and his 11-acre Kozuki Family Vineyard since 2023. His vineyard management and stewardship earned him the 2022 Viticulturist of the Year by the BC Grape Growers Association, and it couldn’t have been awarded to a more deserving recipient.
David is now an integral part of the Solvero family and his talent as a winegrower is reflected each year in the quality of fruit he produces. His grapes shine through in many of our wines, but particularly in our very first vintage of Reserve Pinot Noir. This wine has yet to be released and is made from Pinot Noir exclusively from Kozuki Family Vineyards. His coveted block of Pommard was so exceptional that it was clearly deserving of this designation.
It’s a tribute to our partnership, and we can’t wait to share it with you soon!
Yoga, Vine & Wine
This June, we welcomed the arrival of summer in true Solvero style—with yoga, wine, and community. On Thursday, June 19th, our first-ever evening of Yoga, Vine & Wine was sold-out! A wonderful group of like-minded guests were welcomed to the Solvero patio for a celebration of presence, connection, and the natural beauty of our Estate vineyard.
Led by the inspiring Tara Newbigging, the evening began with a rejuvenating outdoor yoga session, inviting guests to breathe deeply, move mindfully, and ground themselves in the land that nurtures our vines. After the session, our Winemaker Alison Moyes shared stories about Garnet Valley and poured a selection of Solvero wines, perfectly paired with a selection of charcuterie.
As the sun dipped behind the mountains, guests lingered with glasses in hand, enjoying laughter, conversation, and the joy of shared experience. It was a celebration of balance—in body, in nature, and in the craft of winemaking.
Thank you to everyone who joined us for this special evening. We’re already looking forward to the next one. Stay tuned for future events!
With gratitude,
The Solvero Team
